The DRAKENSBERG mountains run down the eastern side of South Africa, dividing the coastal plain and the highveld. In this design, the ‘Amphitheatre’ is shown with the Tugela River in full flow. A Cape Clawless Otter hunts for crabs and fish, while a Bearded Vulture soars overhead. The BAZARUTO Archipelago is protected as a marine reserve off the Mozambique coast. In this design, an orange-sailed dhow drifts across the glorious turquoise and jade waters where a family group of endangered Dugongs feed on seagrass; a Crab Plover is shown flying past.
