Malachite Muse

R6,700.00

“Tell me, O muse, of travellers far and wide.”     Homer

Artists, poets and writers have long sought inspiration from a muse. The Malachite Muse gets her name from the two Malachite Sunbirds (common to southern Africa) perched on top of her head.  It also refers to the malachite gemstone – an ancient metaphysical stone that is believed to have healing and spiritual transformation properties.  The succulents symbolise endurance and eternal love, whilst the flame lilies (the national flower of Zimbabwe) herald honour and glory.

A carmine bee-eater looks on and the iconic sacred ibis fly by in the distance. All under the African sun.
