WAKKERSTROOM is a South African village on the Highveld plateau surrounded by almost pristine grasslands and wetlands which provides vital habitat for numerous threatened grassland species. In this design, a charismatic Southern Bald Ibis marches through the summer grassland while a Long-tailed Widowbird performs its flapping display behind.
