The KALAHARI is a semi-desert region of South Africa, extending into most of Botswana and south-western Namibia. In this design, a Meerkat family keeps a watchful eye on a Pale Chanting Goshawk gliding overhead; an old Camelthorn tree supports a huge haystack nest of Sociable Weavers while Shepherd’s Trees grow on the red sand dunes.
