South Africa is home to the spectacular range of Proteas – an ancient family of flowering plants dating back approximately 300 million years and considered to be among the oldest families of flowering plants on the planet. Named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon and a shape-shifter, the name highlights the variety of plants found within the large proteaceae family. This series consists of four prints – the Pincushion, the King, the Sugarbush and the Venus Protea.
